Als wir 2012 nach einigen Jahren in Reudnitz eine neue Wohnung suchten, sollte es auf jeden Fall ein Viertel mit mehr Grün sein. Da der Leipziger Westen uns zu teuer war und mein Mann bereits eine Stelle bei einer Firma in Stötteritz hatte, wurden wir sehr schnell hier fündig.
Er mag besonders die Kombination aus ruhigem Wohnumfeld und der Möglichkeit, direkt vor der Haustür auch mal abends was Trinken oder Essen zu gehen.
Mir als Dorfkind gefällt, dass man bis heute mit Gutshof und Marienkirche den alten Ortskern erkennen kann und alles, was man zu Leben braucht, zu Fuß zu erreichen ist.
Diese kurzen Wege sind für uns ein wesentlicher Teil eines nachhaltigen Lebens. Und welcher Weg könnte kürzer sein, als der vom eigenen Beet auf den Tisch. Mit diesem Hintergedanken stürzten wir uns 2014 in das Abenteuer Schrebergarten.
Ein weiterer Aspekt, der für mich zu einem nachhaltigen Leben gehört, ist die Frage, ob man wirklich immer alles neu kaufen muss oder ob es nicht auch gebrauchtes Teil sein kann. So fing ich an, auf Trödelmärkten und bei Portalen wie E-Bay- Kleinanzeigen zu stöbern. Dadurch besteht unsere Einrichtung aus einer bunten Mischung aus IKEA-Massenware und Einzelstücken. Aber nach einigen Jahren hat man sich auch an ehemaligen Lieblingsteilen, die man beim Kauf noch unbedingt haben mussten, sattgesehen hat. Aber gleich wegwerfen, nur weil einem die Optik nicht mehr gefällt? Klingt nicht sehr nachhaltig, also her mit Pinsel und Farbe und mit etwas Aufwand kann jeder seine eigenen Möbel recyceln.
